Welcome to my week 1 assignment! My name is Grace, and I am an online student here at the Univeresity of the Cumberlands, pursuing a bachelors in IT with a focus in cybersecurity. This is my second try at trying for a degree, I went to my local university right out of high school as a pre-nursing student, but was waitlisted for the nursing program, so I took a break from school and worked as an office administrator for two different specialty dental practices for a combined 8 years. In that time, I met my husband who was stationed at Ft Bliss in El Paso, Tx. We were married in 2021 and I moved from my hometown of Bowling Green, KY. We stayed in El Paso for almost 4 years until end of 2024 when he was honorably discharged, and moved to his home state of Michigan. Aside from being a student and wife, I am also a stay at home mom to 4 beautiful children, and am currently pregnant with baby #5! As excited as we are for this blessing of an addition, I am apprehensive about juggling everything on my plate while also dealing with health issues related to this pregnancy. But I know the Lord provides, and I have complete faith in Him that no matter what happens, He will use it for good. I am so grateful for this opportunity and look forward to a great class!
